About this event

Members of Cheshire Community Action (CCA) are invited to join our Annual General Meeting to vote on key decisions, find out about our work over the past year and get a chance to meet some of the board members and staff, followed by lunch.

This year we have a guest speaker, Jackie Weaver from the CCA Board and she is also Chief Officer of the Cheshire Association of Local Councils (ChALC).

Since a video of a local council meeting that Jackie was facilitating went viral, she has enjoyed many public engagements both in the media and on TV, through which she encourages greater awareness and participation in local democracy and in particular promoting greater diversity in the local council sector.

Jackie will be saying a few words about the importance of working for our communities and what 2021 has brought for her so far!

Refreshments will be available for arrivals from 11.00am and the meeting will start at 11.30am.
